COMMERCIAL SERVICE

Office access-control installation

Scope to review

  • confirmed components at one or more doorways
  • review of door, lock and control compatibility
  • a basic check of the agreed doorway operation

Prepare information

  • photos of both sides of the door
  • device and lock models
  • existing power and cabling information
Choose a city and describe the scope

Access control starts with the actual door

A single door may need a reader, controller, compatible electric lock, exit device and power; a multi-door project also needs its shared-system requirements described. Photos of both sides of the door, frame, existing hardware and opening direction help assess compatibility. We do not assume every mechanical lock or door can be connected to a reader without changes.

  • reader, controller and lock models
  • photos of both sides of the door and frame
  • a description of existing hardware and opening method

A device, a complete system and integration are different scopes

Installing a supplied compatible device at one doorway differs from deploying a complete system across multiple entries. Adding elements to existing access control is another scope again. Cabling, power, integrations and access to a network cabinet should be described before quoting so a simple door task is not presented as a full building deployment.

  • door count and intended entry method
  • details of any existing system
  • access to power and possible cable routes

A basic functional check is not safety certification

Within the confirmed scope, basic operation of accessible components can be checked after installation. Assessing escape routes, fire requirements, building-management approvals and formal certification are not automatic parts of the service. Those requirements need to be provided before work and agreed with the relevant parties.

  • a building-management contact when required
  • premises access rules
  • questions about integrations and procedures supplied in advance

Commercial FAQ

Does installation guarantee compliance with every building requirement?

No. Property, evacuation and life-safety requirements need separate assessment.

Can access control be installed at one door?

That scope can be assessed from door photos, device models, power and the proposed cable route.

Does installation include every part of a complete system?

Not automatically. Reader, lock, controller, power, cabling and integration may each need separate confirmation.

Does the service confirm fire or evacuation compliance?

No. Fire and evacuation requirements need the appropriate assessment for the premises.
