SASH MOVEMENT AND CLOSING PRESSURE
PVC window and balcony-door adjustment concerns an accessible sash with serviceable hardware. Explain where it catches and whether the problem appears during opening, tilting or closing. These symptoms help distinguish sash alignment from a damaged gearbox, hinge or seal. The hardware system, profile condition and access must be identified before work. Adjustment does not repair cracks, warped components or damaged glazing. Several sashes can be included in one request, with the symptoms listed separately for each.
Adjustment or hardware repair?
Adjustment uses the available settings of functioning hardware. A broken hinge, damaged gearbox or missing component requires a separate repair and parts.
What is assessed?
Sash travel, seal contact, handle operation and visible connections are assessed. Pressure must suit the system; tighter closing is not automatically better.
One sash or several?
The unit is one opening sash, not an entire multi-sash window. Give the number and approximate dimensions, listing balcony doors separately.
