A HANDLE IS NOT THE WHOLE MECHANISM
Window handle replacement is a defined job on an accessible operating component. Spindle length and section, screw centres and any lock or release button must match. If the handle turns without moving the hardware or will not reach its normal position, the gearbox may be at fault. A new grip will not repair a worn mechanism inside the sash. Send photographs of the handle and window markings; do not remove parts from a jammed sash just for a quotation. The rate covers standard labour per item, excluding the new handle. Several compatible replacements can be combined at one address.

Spindle, centres and locking arrangements are checked. A keyed handle does not automatically suit every system.
Handle versus gearbox
Internal resistance, unusual rotation or non-moving locking points require mechanism diagnosis, not a standard handle swap.

What if the handle spins freely?
The spindle or gearbox may be damaged. That symptom alone cannot establish that a standard replacement will work.
Is a balcony handle the same price?
A standard compatible handle may fit this scope. Double-sided sets and unusual locks need separate agreement.
